An Un-Road Trip Across America

with keynote speaker BOAZ FRANKEL from Halogen TV Series "The Un-Road Trip"

Come join us on our own Un-Road Trip and sample some Americana appetizers, bid on unique items at our silent auction boutique, and hear Boaz Frankel talk about his Un-Road Trip in which he zig-zagged 12,000 miles across America using every mode of transportation except the gas-powered car.

The Un-Road Trip was about more than just getting away from our favored mode of transportation - it was about seeing America from it's bike paths, rail lines, forest trails, and waterways. From this unique perspective Boaz met dozens of quirky inventors, visited towns he never knew existed, and discovered the ties between transportation, history, and community. Boaz will share video from the journey, lessons he learned, and recommendations for taking unique and surprising vacations in our very own country.

This year we are excited to host our Annual Meeting at the San Diego Foundation located in Liberty Station.  The state of the art facility will offer the perfect enviroment for our speaker presenation, a tour of the USA with iconic American appetizers, and our not to be missed silent auction.

See you there!

All event proceed will benefit HI-USA, San Diego Council's Education and Outreach Programs.

Hostelling is educational travel. HI-San Diego advocates global awareness with two welcoming, comfortable and affordable hostels to over 15,000 people annually. With a full kitchen and comfortable common areas available to guests, hostels are designed to provide a forum for intercultural dialogue. Community members are invited into the hostels through volunteering and through community service projects.
